Pet food manufacturer locates in Saskatoon region.


Horizon Manufacturing Inc., a premium pet food manufacturer, has begun construction of a manufacturing facility in Rosthern, SK. This new business will initially employ five to seven people.

Horizon Manufacturing Inc., a Saskatchewan-based, privately owned company, will manufacture specialty premium dog and cat food, treats and specific supplements for sale across Canada Across Canada was an afternoon program that formerly aired on The Weather Network. The segment ran from early 1999 until mid 2002. The show ran from 3:00PM ET until 7:00 PM ET. . Construction of the 6,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is underway with production startup (STARTing UP) "At startup" means when the computer is first turned on or when a program is first loaded. See Startup folder.  scheduled for September September: see month. . Seven premium products will be manufactured by Horizon Manufacturing Inc. using only human-grade ingredients. Horizon Manufacturing Inc. will also be looking at further expansion opportunities in the future.

Jason Skotheim, VP Operations, emphasized that Horizon Manufacturing Inc. chose Rosthern for its significant cost advantages, ease of access to a major highway and the enthusiastic support from the town.
