(Nasdaq:PVSW PVSW Pervasive Software Inc. ), a leading provider of software that delivers the freedom to create applications for everyone, everywhere, today reported that revenues for the third fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2000, were $12.6 million, compared to $16.0 million for the same period last year. The net loss for the quarter was $5.8 million or $0.37 loss per share, compared to net income of $1.4 million or $0.09 diluted earnings per share diluted earnings per share

An earnings measure calculated by dividing net income less preferred stock dividends for a period by the average number of shares of common stock that would be outstanding if all convertible securities were converted into shares of
 for the same period last year. Excluding amortization of intangibles related to acquisitions, net loss for the quarter was $5.6 million or $0.36 loss per share, compared to net income of $1.6 million or $0.10 diluted earnings per share for the same period last year.

Revenues for the nine months ended March 31, 2000, were $45.5 million, compared to $41.9 million for the same period last year. Net loss for the nine months ended March 31, 2000, was $5.4 million or $0.35 loss per share, compared to net income of $1.7 million or $0.11 diluted earnings per share for the same period last year. Excluding one-time charges and amortization of intangibles, net loss for the nine months ended March 31, 2000, was $4.6 million or $0.29 loss per share, compared to net income of $3.9 million or $0.25 diluted earnings per share for the same period last year.
