Performance additive.

This performance additive, called iM30K, is said to be the first hollow glass microsphere Not to be confused with Microsphere.

Glass microspheres are spheres of glass technically manufactured with a diameter in the range 1 to 1000 micrometres, although the term is also used for a wider range of 100 nanometres to 5 millimetres.

and extrusion pressures of 30,000 psi. The iM30K product is being offered as an alternative to conventional additives/fillers such as glass fiber, calcium carbonate calcium carbonate, CaCO3, white chemical compound that is the most common nonsiliceous mineral. It occurs in two crystal forms: calcite, which is hexagonal, and aragonite, which is rhombohedral.  and talc. The iM30K additives are said to represent the next generation in the company's glass microsphere technology, combining light weight with the high strength needed to survive rigorous compounding and injection molding pressures. The additives are said to be 40% stronger than the company's previous leading high strength glass microspheres and, at 17 microns, are approximately half their size. Previous generations of the company's glass microspheres have been used for more than 20 years in a number of manufacturing applications, such as sheet molded composites and plastisols, because of their unique ability to reduce density and improve mechanical properties such as modulus and dimensional stability dimensional stability,
