Peoples problems to be resolved on priority: Sardar Saleem.

ATTOCK, November 09, 2009 (Balochistan Times): State Minister for Defence Production Sardar Saleem Haider has said that his first priority is to solve the problems of the people of his constituency at their door steps. He said this while addressing an open kutchery here at Sanjwal Cantt about six kms away from Attock. On the occasion PPP local leaders and large number of party activists were also present. He said provision of gas to Sanjwal Cantt at the cost of Rs 13 million was in progress and would be completed within next three months. The Minister said that the project would benefit as many as 400 families of the area. He said that various development projects worth Rs 200 million were at different stages of completion in his constituency. He said that there are 262 villages in his constituency and problems of the residents of these villages would be resolved gradually. Sardar Saleem Haider said that a survey for Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) would soon be started to get the benefits of this programme. He said that a survey was being carried out in the area to prepare the lists of needy and poor for BISP. The residents of the area apprised the minister that there was acute shortage of clean drinking water in the area and the problem should be resolved on priority basis. They also demanded a dispensary and construction of a gate at entrance of Sanjwal factory. The Minister ensured the residents that he would talk to Managing Director POF Sanjwal Cantt during his visit at the end of this month. Earlier in his welcome address General Secretary Peoples Labour Bureau Asif Butt and Information Secretary Muhammad Daud Ghayur apprised the minister about the problems of the party workers and other party related issues.
