PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) will deliver PeopleSoft 8 on schedule, September 1.

PeopleSoft 8, the industry's first pure internet software, ships next week after more than two years of development, $500 million in investment and the work of 1600 programmers. In addition, the company will ship 60 new collaborative applications for Customer Relationship Management, Employee Self-service, and Supply Chain Management.

Every PeopleSoft 8 application is delivered completely in HTML with no code on the client. This enables organizations to create collaborative networks that can be accessed anytime, anywhere by their customers, employees, and suppliers. PeopleSoft 8 also delivers extensive wireless capabilities for mobile commerce.

PeopleSoft President and CEO Craig Conway promised to ship PeopleSoft 8 in September when he announced the product to more than 300 industry influencers at a launch event in New York on July 11.
