PeopleSoft Extends Lead in HRMS Market; Demonstrates New Applications, Enterprise-Scale Performance, Global Implementation Capability at IHRIM.
The company also announced a series of benchmarks documenting the scalability and performance of the PeopleSoft HRMS applications across multiple platforms and environments. In addition, PeopleSoft disclosed that it has more than 1,000 customers, including 75 who have implemented or are in the process of implementing PeopleSoft HRMS on a global basis.

We've just introduced PeopleSoft Time and Labor and PeopleSoft Pension Administration, and last week we announced partnerships with several leading technology partners for OLAP and electronic commerce."
New Applications and Technology
The latest additions to PeopleSoft HRMS, PeopleSoft Time and Labor and PeopleSoft Pension Administration are being demonstrated today at IHRIM. Both applications are planned for delivery in PeopleSoft 6 at the end of 1996, and are currently being implemented at several beta customer sites.
PeopleSoft's HRMS offering will be further enhanced through the company's recently announced technology initiatives and partnerships addressing electronic commerce, distributed applications, and online analytical processing (OLAP). Benchmarks Demonstrate High Performance
PeopleSoft has demonstrated the enterprise-scale performance of its HRMS software in a series of benchmark tests conducted in cooperation with platform partners at customer and partner sites and in the Performance Laboratory at PeopleSoft's headquarters in Pleasanton, Calif. In recent benchmarks, PeopleSoft Payroll processed 63,000 paychecks per hour on an Informix database and the Sun Ultra Enterprise Server 4000. PeopleSoft HRMS achieved consistently optimal online response times for up to 2,500 concurrent users on an Oracle database and the Sequent Symmetry 5000/SE 70 server.
PeopleSoft HRMS online studies have been completed on a variety of database/hardware configurations, including Oracle/Hewlett-Packard, Oracle/Sequent, Oracle/Data General, and Sybase/Hewlett-Packard. PeopleSoft Payroll batch processing benchmark studies completed to date include Oracle/Sun SPARCServer 1000, Informix/Sun Ultra, DB2/MVS, and DB2/AIX. Global HR Implementations

It also records information to support the time-related needs of a variety of business functions such as compensation, cost accounting, and organization administration, while insuring the integrity of the data. PeopleSoft Time and Labor, like all PeopleSoft enterprise applications, is scalable and designed to be modified and changed according to a company's dynamic requirements.
PeopleSoft Pension Administration
PeopleSoft Pension Administration streamlines operations for all levels and aspects of pension administration, even for current systems with numerous plans or complicated structures. This initial release is specifically designed for U.S. private-defined benefit pension plans including traditional, cash balance, and contributory plans. PeopleSoft Pension Administration enables automation of pension administration functions including data storage, benefit calculations and estimates, employee communications, flexible system design, retiree administration and reporting, and data extraction.
Additionally, systems managers using PeopleTools can customize and modify the applications as the employee base evolves. When fully integrated with PeopleSoft HRMS, PeopleSoft Pension Administration enables both data collection and administrative tasks to be completed effectively without duplication of effort or time consuming transfer of information between systems.
