New Subsidiary in Spain and Portugal

PeopleSoft Iberica S.L., a PeopleSoft subsidiary, was launched on October 7, 1996, with a regional office located in Madrid, Spain. Reporting directly to the company's European headquarters, PeopleSoft Iberica supports the Spanish and Portuguese markets and provides global and multinational customers a local point of contact for their Iberian operations.

Since late 1993, PeopleSoft has been represented in the Iberian market by InfoSoft S.A., which acted as a distributor of PeopleSoft business software. PeopleSoft's numerous Brazilian customers run the Portuguese-language version of PeopleSoft applications. PeopleSoft do Brasil has grown to nine employees, and expects to increase its staff to 40 during 1997.

In Venezuela, PeopleSoft has retained a distributor, International Information Technology. PeopleSoft also has operations and offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Worldwide Customer Service

PeopleSoft has rapidly bolstered its ability to provide customer service worldwide. All PeopleSoft customers receive a comprehensive package of services, as part of their initial license agreement.

This package includes account management, installation support, project team training, and application support. In addition, PeopleSoft Professional Services maintains a team of skilled consultants, now numbered at 350 and increasing, who assist customers worldwide with all phases of implementation, including systems integration, project management, and customization.

PeopleSoft Education Services offers, outside the United States, 20 training facilities distributed across Europe, the Americas, and the Asia/Pacific region. Telephone hotline support is provided in-country, regionally, or via "roll-over" to U.S.-based support at PeopleSoft headquarters.
