PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) hosted the PeopleSoft Leadership Summit in Las Vegas this week. It was standing room only with more than 2,000 executives from around the world witnessing the unveiling of PeopleSoft's new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications. Keynote presenters included former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, industry luminary Patricia Seybold and PeopleSoft President and CEO Craig Conway. Other highlights included PeopleSoft customers sharing powerful success stories about PeopleSoft enabling them to build a collaborative enterprise.

PeopleSoft 8, the industry's first and only pure internet application suite, is the unique technology enabling the customers' success.

"PeopleSoft enables us to use the internet to improve our business processes," said Lori Faris, senior vice president of Infrastructure Services at U.S.-based professional service provider Carreker Corp. Dr. Dirk Jonathal, programme manager of Talkline, a $1 billion telecommunications subsidiary of Tele Denmark based in Elmshorn, Germany, concurred. "PeopleSoft 8 Global Payroll is easy to deploy and cost-effective because of its unique internet architecture."

"Before the PeopleSoft implementation, the entire 750 employee payroll at Talkline was administered by three HR employees," said Jonathal. "Today, the payroll for 1,850 employees is administered by the same number of HR staff."

SSL International plc (SSL), a UK-based healthcare organization with operations in 46 countries, selected PeopleSoft 8 applications for Supply Chain Management, Planning, eProcurement, Financials, Manufacturing and Human Resources for similar reasons.
