Freudenberg reorganizes auto unit

After a decade of business success, which includes a $700 million growth from 1992-1999, Freudenberg-NOK is organizing an executive team to focus solely on the automotive industry The automotive industry is the industry involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of motor vehicles. In 2006, more than 69 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were produced worldwide. .

Freudenberg's labor productivity has improved 250 percent over the last decade. In that period, quality costs have dropped 75 percent. The company now produces 2 billion component parts each year with reject rates below 50 for each million.

The company's newly-formed automotive components business team is headed by Richard Allen There have been several famous men with the name Richard Allen:

MagneTek appointed Dean Hoffman president and general manager of its drives and systems group.
