Buda named Harwick president/CEO

Jeff Buda, a 13-year veteran of Harwick Standard Distribution and a 27-year veteran of the rubber industry, was named president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Harwick Standard. Buda is succeeding E.M. Corbett, who retired after 30 years. Buda joined the company in Trenton, NJ in 1986. He then served as vice president of Boston sales beginning in 1987, becoming vice president of Akron, OH operations in 1993. In 1995, he was promoted to vice president of Akron sales. Buda received his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical/pharmaceutical marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University Fairleigh Dickinson University, at Florham-Madison and Teaneck-Hackensack, N.J.; coeducational; incorporated and opened 1942 as a junior college, became a four-year college in 1948 and a university in 1956.  in Teaneck, NJ.

TECHNICAL

Nabil Boufakhreddine joined Bayer as technical service specialist for Therban.

Julie Gallagher and Colette Harrison joined Rapra as information officers for the electronic information group. Sally Humphreys was appointed technical editor for the technical information group. Joy Harrison joined Rapra as plastics materials technologist.

MANAGEMENT

Hans Kogelnik was promoted to executive vice president of Bayer and president of Bayer's polyurethanes division.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries named Takashi Nishioka president.

. The company also named Kevin Kramer Kevin A. Kramer (born August 24th, 1976) is a television writer and producer. He has worked on the reality shows, The Biggest Loser, Beauty and The Geek, and Unan1mous. Kevin is currently writing for the Cartoon Network show, Chowder  general business manager for the southern region.

Meteor-Lauren named Tim Ashcraft operations manager See datacenter manager. .

Union Carbide Union Carbide Corporation (Union Carbide) is one of the oldest chemical and polymers companies in the United States, and currently has more than 3,800 employees.  appointed John Dearborn vice president, general manager of Unipol Systems.

Rapra appointed David Highfield president of Rapra Technology.

Will Barton was appointed vice president of manufacturing and technology for Flexsys.

RETIREES

John Weaver, BF Goodrich vice president and group vice president for textile and industrial proofings, announced retirement.

Richard Killian will retire after three years as managing director of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers.

M.A. Hanna names Ashkettle president

Phillip Ashkettle was elected president/CEO of M.A. Hanna. Prior to his election, Ashkettle was president/CEO of Reichhold. During his tenure there, he increased sales from $800 million to $1.3 billion. Ashkettle will replace Martin Walker, interim chairman/CEO, who remain in position temporarily.
