), today announced the second annual IWCE/MRT Wireless Summit, to take place November 13-14, 2007 at the Regal Sun Resort Regal Sun Resort is a 626-room resort situated on the property of Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It is located at 1850 Hotel Plaza Blvd., across from the Downtown Disney area.  (formerly the Grosvenor Resort) in Orlando, Fla.

The IWCE/MRT Wireless Summit is a two-day event featuring conference sessions, tabletop exhibits and networking opportunities for professionals in all areas of wireless communications/IT, including technology end users from all industries (including security, utilities, transportation, construction, retail, healthcare and facilities management), public safety professionals, wireless service providers and IT professionals, as well as industry dealers and consultants.

The conference program will provide an in-depth look at the latest issues facing wireless communications/IT professionals and includes a keynote address by Derek Poarch, chief, Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau, U.S. Federal Communications Association who will speak on the Homeland Security Bureau's mission and outreach efforts in the area of public safety communications. One of the highlights of this year's conference will be an emergency operation center demonstration from the Public Safety Broadband Consortium. This general session offers a real-time, real-world demonstration of what broadband wireless can do for public safety. Using the ballroom as a command center, police cars equipped with video cameras and routers will simulate a crisis situation in the parking lot of the resort. Attendees can watch the demonstration on the screen in the hotel ballroom, viewing exactly what the officers see, as well as the interactivity between the command center and cars. Attendees can sign up to ride along in the police cars as they showcase the equipment. Other sessions include "The Reality of 800 MHz Rebanding" and "Point/Counterpoint: Public Safety's Wish List and Technology's Reality."

Breakout session topics include "Migrating to a Radio over IP Environment - Challenges, Solutions, Benefits"; "What the 700 MHz Plan Means to Public Safety;" "The Promise of WiMAX and Wireless Mesh;" "An Overview of P25 and Where it is Leading;" "Future of Wireless Communications" and "Leveraging Metro Area Networks for Public Safety and Enterprise."

Tabletop exhibits will showcase the latest products and services available for wireless communications/IT professionals, while networking opportunities will allow attendees to connect with their colleagues.
