Penton's Material Handling Engineering Calls For Entries for 1999 Excellence in Warehouse Management System -- WMS -- Awards.

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 1999--Penton Media's Material Handling Engineering magazine announced today a call for entries for the "1999 Excellence in WMS Awards." The 1999 awards recognize warehousing's role in successful U.S. businesses and spotlight achievement in integrating WMS with mechanized material handling systems, automatic identification/data collection systems, transportation management systems, and enterprise resource planning systems. "A successful Warehouse Management System project starts with disciplined operations," said Material Handling Engineering Senior Editor, Tom Andel. The deadline for entries has been set for April 15, 1999. Winners will be recognized at an awards banquet during Penton's Supply Chain Expo 99 in Baltimore, MD, September 21-23, 1999. Nominees for the awards should have played an instrumental role in a WMS project's success, shall have received employer approval for award consideration and be available for follow-up contact in the event of finalist notification.
