SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1996--Penstock launched its new Web site this week, making it one of the first RF and microwave distributors on the Internet.

The Penstock home page at www.penstock.avnet.com offers 200 pages of information on:

-- Penstock's PSElect value-added services division;

-- Penstock's Avantek hybrid product line;

-- A ``What's New'' section on new and future product releases;

-- An on-line line card that allows customers to look up product

types by alphabetical order and find the manufacturers that

supply those products;

-- A history of radio transmission, the microwave industry and

the M.I.T. Radiation Laboratory;

-- RF wireless and microwave terminology and wireless

communication acronyms;

-- A wireless spectrum guide;

-- A list of applications for Penstock devices;

-- The phone and fax numbers for all Penstock offices

nationwide.

According to Steve Ulett, Penstock's marketing communications manager, ``In addition to providing product information, the two goals of the Penstock Web site are to educate customers on the history of the industry and the next wireless revolution, plus provide terminology for engineers and people who are new to the industry.''

In the future, technical measurement charts and tables for design engineers, e-mail capability, data sheets, product catalogs and hyperlinks will be added. The Web site features both text and graphics and will be updated monthly.
