Pennsylvania Game Commission: WMU 5C Sells Out of Antlerless Deer Licenses.
Ross also noted that county treasurers were required to put in the mail regular and first-round unsold antlerless deer licenses no later than Sept. 19. Second-round unsold licenses will be mailed no later than Saturday, Oct. 1.
Also beginning Monday, Sept. 19, applicants were able to begin applying for antlerless deer licenses over-the-counter at county treasurers' offices in WMUs 2B, 5C and 5D. On Monday, Nov. 7, hunters may begin applying over-the- counter for unsold antlerless licenses in WMUs 2A, 4E and 5A, provided antlerless deer license allocations remain.
Of the 879,000 antlerless licenses originally allocated, 60,306 licenses remain. Following is a listing of the antlerless deer licenses remaining by WMU as of 11:18 a.m. today, Sept. 22 (along with the initial allocation for each WMU): WMU 2A, 3,611 (55,000); WMU 2B, 38,165 (68,000); WMU 4E, 919 (38,000); WMU 5A, 4,313 (28,000); and WMU 5D, 13,298 (20,000).

On Aug. 22, the Allegheny National Forest announced that it had distributed all 6,800 Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) antlerless deer permit coupons for its properties, and that it expected to be mailing coupons to hunters by Sept. 9.
The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) still has coupons remaining for some of its state forests and parks in several of the WMUs that have exhausted antlerless deer license allocations. To access an updated listing of DCNR's properties with available DMAP coupons, log onto its website (http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/), click on "State Forests," then choose "Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP)," then select "Bureau of Forestry DMAP Areas for 2005," then scroll down and click on "Check available coupons."
According to DCNR's website, those state forests with remaining DMAP coupons are: Forbes, Sproul, Tiadaghton, Tioga, Delaware, and Wyoming. Tobyhanna State Park also has 30 DMAP coupons remaining.
For more information on other DMAP properties with available coupons, hunters should go to the Game Commission's website (http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/), click on "DMAP" in the "Quick Clicks" box in the upper right-hand corner of the agency's homepage, then select "Participating Properties now available," and then click on the county of interest in the map.
