Commercial advertisers The New-York Commercial Advertiser was a nineteenth century American newspaper.  have a new venue for promoting their products and services: the roofs of school buses and school buildings in the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District is a public school district based in Grapevine, Texas (USA).

In addition to most of Grapevine, the district serves most of the city of Colleyville and small portions of Euless and Hurst.

Beginning July July: see month.  1, the district is offering aerial aerial: see antenna, in electronics.  advertising, as well as signage on the sides of buses, in school gyms, and at the football stadium under a plan expected to bring in between $100,000 and $150,000 in 1997-98. Advertisers can choose from levels ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

The aerial ads are attractive because the district is adjacent to the busy Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and thousands of planes cruise just above the roads filled with buses carrying the district's 12,400 students.

Before the school board unanimously approved the revenue plan, a district resident asked if an ad featuring a supermodel would be allowed. According to according to
