Launched in 1998, "Renewable Energy World" offers global coverage of the renewable energy industry and focuses on the potential and achievements of all forms of renewable energy sources and the technologies being developed for application. It is targeted to business professionals, engineers and policy makers involved in power generating utilities, government, manufacturing of renewable energy systems, and management of renewable energy sites.

PennWell owns 13 magazines and 26 events for the oil and gas, electric power, water and related energy markets, including "Oil & Gas Journal," "Offshore," "Oil & Gas Financial Journal" and "Power Engineering" magazines.

In related news, PennWell has sold "Computer Graphics World," a part of PennWell's Advanced Technology Publications Group (Nashua, NH), to California Offset Printers Communications (Glendale, CA). No terms of the deal, which includes a web site and a bimonthly bi·month·ly
