Scyld Software, a subsidiary of Penguin Computing, has also partnered with InfiniCon Systems to develop InfiniBand drivers that will be incorporated into the high-performance networking support options of Scyld Beowulf Release 29 for the Opteron, Xeon and Itanium platforms.

"InfiniBand has clearly come of age in the cluster computing Cluster Computing: the Journal of Networks, Software Tools and Applications is a journal for parallel processing, distributed computing systems, and computer communication networks.  marketplace. With its outstanding price/performance levels and a roadmap extending to 100Gbps capability, InfiniBand continues to gain industry-wide support," said Charles Foley Charles Foley (1931–) invented Twister, together with Neil W. Rabens. Received only 2.5% royalties for three years from Milton Bradley, which amounted to about $27,000. , Executive Vice President of InfiniCon Systems. "Penguin Computing's selection of our InfinIO offerings, and the inclusion of our software technology into the highly respected Scyld Beowulf Linux cluster operating system operating system (OS)

, is further indication of the position that InfiniCon has established as the most robust, scalable InfiniBand solutions provider."

"Through the introduction of Penguin Computing's turnkey cluster systems, the shipment of Scyld Beowulf Release 29, supporting both 64-bit and 32-bit platforms, and our new partnership with InfiniCon Systems, Penguin Computing is positioned to address high growth vertical markets requiring cluster solutions that provide end users with the most complete, rock-solid management framework for Linux deployments and an unequalled ability to scale computing power," said Enrico Pesatori, president and chief executive officer of Penguin Computing.

Leveraging the breakthrough advances of the InfiniBand architecture, InfiniCon Systems offers a complete systems solution for enabling data centers to migrate to a fabric/grid model of computing. Our award-winning InfinIO product family provides the dynamic infrastructure required for designing and managing highly scalable, highly available clustered server environments that integrate seamlessly into today's Fibre Channel and Ethernet networks.
