Pelephone Has Deployed an Automated Speech Driven Account Inquiry Service Using NSC's Speech Recognition Product.

The new service enables Pelephone customers to obtain information about their Pelephone accounts including current account balance, details about their last and next invoice and unused minutes. The service is delivered using natural speech by the customer with no use of touch-tone menus or human representative. The service is free of charge and is available in 3 languages according to the customer's preferences: Hebrew, Arabic or Russian.

Using NSC's Speech recognition technology for a service, which was previously delivered using a touch-tone interface, or by employing human agents, had improved customer interface and decreased customer's waiting time, easing the pressure on Pelephone's Call center and showing tangible cost savings for Pelephone. Since it was deployed, the service experienced over 8000 calls a day (representing 3 million calls a year) - which is regarded as a big success for the new service.
