XACCT Technologies, a leading provider of network data management platform for global communications service providers, today announced that Pelephone Communications, Israel's leading mobile operator, has purchased XACCT's Network-to-Business(R) (N2B(R)) platform to optimize its voice and data mediation operations. After an extensive evaluation process Pelephone selected XACCT's multi-service convergent mediation platform to consolidate several of its existing mediation solutions including the current proprietary voice, data and settlement mediation solutions. XACCT's partner in Israel, Xpert Integrated Systems, Ltd. is responsible for design and deployment of the Pelephone installation.

Pelephone Communications, the first mobile operator in Israel, with NAMPS analog, and CDMA 1X services -- has, over the years, accumulated several different stove-pipe solutions to handle its mediation needs. Pelephone concluded that none of their existing solutions was suitable or cost-effective for its 3rd generation network, especially for new data services. Pelephone evaluated several options and chose XACCT's N2B platform as a strategic component of its back-office infrastructure because it allowed them to streamline its existing operation, quickly and cost-effectively, as well as provides a convergent network data management platform for future generation data, video and voice applications. Pelephone, with agreements with several local and international operators, will also use XACCT platform to process multiple data-feeds, to and from the partners, to support inter-carrier settlements.

The XACCT platform will also provide Pelephone with a flexible framework for advanced analytics, CRM and traffic engineering applications.
