The Peer-to-Peer Working Group (P2PWG), created for the advancement and interoperability of peer-to-peer computing, announced today that it will be holding its third working group meeting on May 30th and 31st, 2001 at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara, California Santa Clara, California (IPA: /ˌsæntəˈklærə/) , founded in 1777 and incorporated in 1852, is a city in Santa Clara County, in the U.S. state of California. .

The two-day event will be packed with activities ranging from speaker presentations and real-time demos to working group sessions focused on security, firewalls and peer-to-peer glossary.

"The P2PWG event is about meeting new people, sharing best practices in peer computing and determining what the next hot issue will be in P2P See peer-to-peer and point-to-point. ," explains Brian Morrow, President of Endeavors Technology and chair of the Peer-to-Peer Working Group. "We're excited to have Andrea Williams Rice, managing director and analyst at Deutsche Banc Alex Brown and Alex Veytsel, research associate and analyst of the Aberdeen Group, here to present their research findings and insight on P2P computing."
