RCM Examinations is the division of The Royal Conservatory of Music dedicated to administering the examinations based on the RCM curriculum. RCM Examinations conducts more than 100,000 music examinations per year in more than 300 communities through a network of local centers. The College of Examiners comprises more than 350 distinguished teachers and performers. This full-day event served the dual purpose of professional development for members of the RCME College of Examiners, while at the same time fulfilling the role of the traditional "Pedagogy Saturday" and "Professional Studio Saturday" preceding MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) conferences. The theme of the day, "Exploring Evaluation and Assessment" was chosen because it impacts not only the work of professional examiners and adjudicators, but in fact every studio teacher. The sessions were designed to provide opportunities for teachers to explore a wide range of approaches to inspiring, motivating and evaluating their students.
