Peabody Hotel Group is expanding its portfolio of Peabody-flagged meeting hotel properties and now flies the flag in Memphis, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; and Little Rock, Arkansas. Some 70 years ago, The Peabody Memphis, "the South's grand hotel," gave the world, a unique, living symbol--the Peabody Ducks--and marched into the hearts and minds of meeting planners and their clients who recognize the sign of the duck as the symbol of meeting and convention hotel quality.

THE PEABODY MEMPHIS

"The Mississippi Delta begins in the lobby of The Peabody Hotel and ends on Catfish Row in Vicksburg. The Peabody is the Paris Ritz, Cairo Shepheard's, London Savoy of this section. If you stand near its fountain in the middle of the lobby, where ducks waddle and turtles drowse, ultimately you will see everybody who is anybody in the Delta," said historian David Cohn in 1935. This historic 468-room hotel with 80,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space, is located in the heart of revitalized downtown Memphis. The hotel's catering and banquet services and award-winning restaurant Chez Philippe continue to wow meeting delegates and food critics. THE PEABODY ORLANDO

Opened in 1986 with 891 rooms and 57,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, The Peabody Orlando is strategically located opposite the 1.5 million-square-foot (soon to be 2.5 million-square-foot) Orange County Convention Center. The hotel's 57 suites and meeting space are designed and wired for modern meetings. The hotel can provide videoconferencing connections worldwide from any of its rooms.

THE PEABODY LITTLE ROCK

The newest Peabody flag was hoisted January 31, 2002 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Following a $40 million reconstruction, renovation, and redecoration of all 418 guest rooms and 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, the new hotel emerged as a powerhouse in the meetings and conventions business. Meeting planners appreciate indoor escalators and stairways connecting to the 200,000-square-foot Statehouse Convention Center. The Peabody Little Rock also provides the catering and banquet services for the center. The hotel's conference center is being refurbished and reconfigured and will be open by year's end.

The Peabody Little Rock--located in the revitalized River Market District among boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and jazz clubs--has exceeded expectations of meeting planners as well as the local community.
