, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D & Care Management functionality to health plans and insurers nationwide

Quality Care Solutions Inc. (QCSI QCSI Quality Care Solutions, Inc. (R)), a leading provider of advanced information technology and enterprise application systems and services for health plans, announced today the release of its QNXT 3.2 next-generation enterprise application system. QCSI maintains its leadership position -- as cited by a global independent research company -- by incorporating the functionality needed to meet the most challenging healthcare industry requirements into its latest version of the QNXT system.

QNXT 3.2 is a powerful system that will extend the functionality and level of integration achievable across an organization's enterprise information systems. QNXT combines medical and dental in a single payor application, offering customers an integrated system at the lowest total cost of ownership. It is fully deployed on an XML-based, multi-tiered, services-oriented architecture utilizing Microsoft's .NET platform. With an easy-to-navigate Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. The release of QNXT 3.2 makes real-time health claims processing a reality. Health plans now have the ability to process Consumer Directed Health Care (CDHC) claims with a single system that is integrated to the members' fund balances. Functionality and solutions for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D provide health plans the ability to run a single system that not only manages their Medicare programs, but integrates these products with other commercial or Medicaid products, allowing health plans to offer competitive products in the market on a single health claim payor system.

QNXT 3.2 also includes a tightly integrated interface to IHCIS' Impact Pro evidence-based predictive modeling software, allowing health plans to take advantage of the wealth of information available to them through their claims and pharmacy data. A single system now allows case and disease managers easy access to patient history, case status, eligibility, medical management utilization, and more in order to identify high-risk and high-cost patients.

These high-cost and high-risk patients can be closely managed using the QNXT 3.2 Case Management product as part of the QNXT 3.2 suite of products. All of this functionality, including advanced functionality for medical and dental claims, along with coordination of benefits, and EDI/HIPAA transactions, are now available in a Web-based product that allows the flexibility for "real-time" integrations to third-party products through the use of Web services (1) Loosely, any online service delivered over the Web. Such usage appears in articles from non-technical sources, but not in IT-oriented publications, because definition #2 below describes the correct use of the term. , capitalizing on the technology and the patented architecture only QCSI has.

QNXT 3.2 also includes an enhanced integration to MyHealthBank, the market-leading CDHC suite of products recently acquired by QCSI. QNXT 3.2 now offers extensive advanced claims editing and auditing features with best-of-breed solutions, including the McKesson ClaimCheck and Ingenix iCES claim editing products.

"The data services layer gives us the flexibility to quickly and effectively add these new features and applications to the core QNXT system, and it further provides our customers with open access to core components of our system, without the need for source code," stated Dave Engert, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
