Pavilion Technologies Establishes U.K. Presence; Horn Selected to Augment Pavilion's European Efforts.


AUSTIN, Texas -- Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in Advanced Process Control (APC (1) (American Power Conversion Corporation, West Kingston, RI, www.apcc.com) The leading manufacturer of UPS systems and surge suppressors, founded in 1981 by Rodger Dowdell, Neil Rasmussen and Emanual Landsman, three electronic power engineers who had worked at MIT. ) and environmental compliance solutions, has selected Derek Horn to oversee business development operations for Pavilion's U.K., Republic of Ireland and Nordic operations. Horn will serve the region from the company's new office at The Petroleum Center in Aberdeen, Scotland. This office will augment Pavilion's European sales and service office headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

Horn has more than 25 years of industry experience serving leading manufacturers in the oil and gas, pulp and paper, sub-sea and utilities market.  Technology Division and Honeywell Control Systems Ltd. With Honeywell, Horn served as business development and alliance manager for BP Grangemouth and BP E&P in Aberdeen.
