James Paul (born 1940 in Forest Grove, Oregon, U.S.) is an American conductor. He studied voice at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
 will be back on the podium, after a year's absence, to conduct two varied programs with the 2002 Oregon Coast Music Festival orchestra in Coos Bay.

Paul, who took last season off for personal reasons, will conduct at 7:30 p.m. July 23 and 27 in the festival's orchestral hall, the auditorium at Marshfield High School Mashfield High School may refer to one of these high schools in the United States:
  • Marshfield High School (Massachusetts)
  • Marshfield High School (Missouri)
  • Marshfield High School (Oregon)
  • Marshfield High School (Wisconsin)

This year's festival also will feature pops (with conductor Jason Klein), cabaret (Nicole Campbell), chamber music (Bella Musica Chamber Ensemble), jazz (Darrell Grant and Dmitri Matheny), swamp rock (Etouffee é·touf·fée

The July 23 orchestral concert will feature Wolfgang Mozart's "Jupiter" Symphony (No. 41 in C Major), Nikolas Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol (Op. 34) and P.I. Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major Violin Concerto in D major may refer to:

The festival's concluding concert on July 27 will consist of Johann Strauss Jr.'s "Voices of Spring Waltz," Ottorino Respighi's "Fountains of Rome" and Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 9 in C Major (`The Great').
