Paul Raslavicus.

Paul Raslavicus, MD, FCAP, a pathologist who dedicated his career to the advancement of patient health care, was named the 2004 Pathologist of the Year by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The award is given to a CAP member for outstanding contributions to the field of pathology and to the programs and activities CAP. Raslavicus received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, completed his doctoral degree at Harvard University and earned his master's degree in health administration at the University of Colorado. He completed his residency training at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and the University of Vermont. Raslavicus is board-certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, nuclear medicine, blood banking, dermatopathology and medical management. CAP is a medical society that serves nearly 16,000 physician members and the laboratory community throughout the world. It is the world's largest association composed exclusively of pathologists and is widely considered the leader in laboratory quality assurance.
