Patricia Ryan Irwin's Funeral Mass to Be Held Saturday at Beverly Hills' Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- IRWIN, Patricia Ryan, also known as "Super Mom," lived, loved and laughed for 76 years. Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Pat came to Fresno in sunny California at 12 with her parents Dan and Panzie Ryan. Later, she moved to Los Angeles. She married her Hamilton High School sweetheart, Ken Irwin and they had 5 talented daughters. Her first, Noel Irwin Hentschel is CEO of Americantours International, LA's 3rd largest woman owned business. Valerie lives in Ireland where the Ryan family hails from. Lisa is a pianist and realtor in San Diego. Pamela is a sales manager in the tourism industry in LA. Carole is President of Word Cosmetics in LA. Known as the Irwin Sisters, they all worked in Hollywood film and stage as members of the Screen Actors Guild with Pat as their manager.

A devout Irish Catholic, Pat and her daughters attended Good Shepherd School and she graduated from Immaculate Heart High School. Pat attended mass and received communion daily. She was a member of the Third Order of the Franciscans and she often frequented the First AME church with her family. Pat raised her children to live their faith by helping others and to never give up. She taught them to follow the example of Padre Pio and Mother Teresa: "work toward good and good will happen" and "the family that prays together stays together." Pat recently helped Noel open a mission in Rosarito, Baja to care for homeless Mexican people dying from AIDS with Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, working closely with the first lady of Baja, Maria Elorduy.

Her passing on April 2nd at St. John of God, was unexpected but befitting on the anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II, whom she loved. Recitation of the Rosary at 5pm on Friday, April 7th and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am on Saturday, April 8th both at Good Shepherd Church, 505 No. Bedford Drive, Beverly Hills followed by the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Ave., Culver City. Pat will be buried on the same day as the saintly pontiff was laid to rest.

Pat's passions were politics and show business, she worked in both and her legacy lives on in her 5 children, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Dennis Ryan and her sister-in-law Georgia Frontiere, owner of the St. Louis Rams. Pat appreciated the extra love from her granddaughter Brittany and her caregiver Kathy, Rebecca and Tammy. Pat had a great memory and sense of humor and anyone who knew her will say she was one of a kind, "a light has gone out in LA that can not be replaced." Pat will be missed!
