Version 6.1 of NaviCare's Patient Flow System includes Business Area Monitoring (BAM Bam (bäm), town (1996 pop. 70,100), Kerman prov., SE Iran, on the intermittent Bam River. Located on the western edge of the Dasht-e Lut, Bam is a trade center in a henna-growing region. Dates and other fruits are also grown; camels are raised. ), which enables real-time monitoring of patient flow and capacity usage. The new functionality features a dashboard that displays key operational metrics and helps hospital managers to set parameters and visualize each department's status. Rather than setting off alarms only when thresholds are exceeded, BAM can be set to provide alerts at regular intervals as thresholds are approached, allowing a proactive approach to capacity management. The new version also includes OnSite technology that enables NaviCare 6.1 to receive bed type, location and status information sent by Hill-Rom's VersaCare and TotalCare beds.
