 management software, solutions, and services, today announced that it will integrate Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer The Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) is a tool put out by Microsoft to help analyze security problems in Microsoft Windows. It does this by scanning the system for security problems in Windows, Windows components such as the IIS web server application, Microsoft  (MBSA) 2.0 with PATCHLINK UPDATE using the PatchLink Scanner Integration Module(TM) (SIM) to provide Microsoft customers with increased protection against network vulnerabilities. Availability of the PatchLink Scanner Integration Module version that supports MBSA 2.0 is anticipated for Q3 2005, and will be demonstrated at Microsoft TechEd 2005, in PatchLink booth #409.

PatchLink Scanner Integration Module provides a flexible integration point for PatchLink customers to import scanner results from a wide-range of leading third-party scanners, allowing customers to view results from multiple scanners simultaneously. PatchLink's Scanner Integration Module allows organizations to combine the enhanced scanning and detection capabilities available in MBSA 2.0 with the advanced remediation, reporting and compliancy functionality delivered by PATCHLINK UPDATE, and in-depth patch testing services provided by PatchLink's onsite test engineers.

PatchLink also today announced a development relationship with Microsoft whereby PATCHLINK UPDATE(TM), PatchLink's market-leading security patch and vulnerability management software product, will extend support for Microsoft's Windows Server Update Services Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) provides a software update service for Microsoft Windows operating systems and other software.
