Pastor uses U.S. court to censor U.K. producer.


Indirect censorship of television is charged in a $2 million lawsuit filed by the Rev. Donald Wildmon Donald E. Wildmon, born 18 January 1938 in Dumas, Mississippi, is the founder and chairman of the American Family Association.

He graduated from Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi, in 1960. In 1961 he married Lynda Lou Bennett with whom he has two sons and two daughters.

 and an anti-Christian message in the media. Damned in the U.S.A. was produced by Paul Yule who charged that Wildmon's action amounted to the same as a boycott. The documentary has been shown in Britain.

 Wildmon, Yule violated an agreement that the film wouldn't be aired in the U.S. without his approval. Yule denies that such a deal was ever made.

"Wildmon is using the legal system as a means of influencing what is shown to the public," Yule complained in a recent interview.

The film traces attempts to ban controversial art works in the U.S.
