Passports delay.

UP to 150,000 passport applications have been held up by a workers' three-day strike, it was claimed last night.

The Public and Commercial Services Union The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) is the sixth largest union trade union in the United Kingdom. Most of its members work in positions in government departments and public bodies, although some work in information technology for private companies.  said the backlog would take "well into August" to clear.

The strike over office closures and pay finished yesterday, ending 10 days of civil service stoppages.
