Passion priest suspended for Latin Masses.


A priest who celebrated daily Latin Masses with members of the cast and crew during the filming of Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ in Italy has been suspended by his archbishop for celebrating a similar Mass with a Catholic splinter group splinter group

Somerville also served as Gibson's spiritual advisor on the set of The Passion. He has appealed his suspension, but is currently not allowed to celebrate Mass anywhere in the world.
