Pass it on: families needed for Alzheimer's research.
To better understand Alzheimer's disease and other conditions involving serious memory loss, the National Cell Repository for Alzheimer's Disease at the Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking families with two or more living, blood-related individuals with symptoms of memory loss. Participating families might be asked to complete a Family History Questionnaire, donate blood samples, and document affected family members' symptoms through medical records or physical examinations (traveling to Indiana University is not required). These data are made available to researchers worldwide, who do not obtain any participant-identifying information. Providers can help out by offering family members free pamphlets explaining the program. For details contact Jamalynne Stuck, MS, research coordinator and genetic counselor, at (800) 526-2839 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.iupui.edu/~medgen/research/alz/Alzheimer.html.
