boards with a free product evaluation for designers of embedded computer systems. While supplies last, Parvus will provide select embedded PCs to prospective customers on evaluation at no cost by contacting Parvus' sales team at 800-483-3152.

The initial SpacePC product line includes six x86 (Intel(R)) compatible processor cards, ranging in speed from 40MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  (3x86) to 300MHz (Pentium(R) class). An ultra low-power 800MHz Pentium(R) III board is also slated for production later this year. Broad software support for these compact (3.550" x 3.775") single board computers (SBC (1) (SBC Communications Inc., San Antonio, TX, www.sbc.com) A large, national telecommunications company that grew from a multitude of local and regional companies, including Southwestern Bell, Pacific Bell and Nevada Bell, into a single, unified brand by 2002. ) includes ROM-DOS(TM), QNX A multiuser, multitasking, real time operating system for PCs from QNX Software Systems, Ltd., Ottawa, Ontario (www.qnx.com), that is noted for its low-memory requirement and rapid response. Similar to Unix, it has been in use since the early 1980s. (R), Windows 95/98(R), Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs.
