The partnership will also be looking at the activities of com-munities who are trying to address issues such as declining resources and climate change. At the meeting the Kirklees Climate Change Action Plan cur-rentlv in develooment. will be introduced. The plan aims to reduce carbon emissions in Kirklees and to identify ways for coping with the effects of climate change. The Environment Partnership was formed in 2002 and now has membership representing over 60 public, private and voluntary bodies and provides an independent voice for the environment in Kirklees. It aims to support and enable a coordinated approach to environmental projects across Kirklees and to promote environmental education and training, sharing good practice. |
