Partners blast off with new government project.


The joint venture of Rutherford & Chekene and Weidlinger Associates, two international consulting engineering firms, has been awarded by the U.S. General Services Administration The General Services Administration (GSA) was established by section 101 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C.A. § 751). Under this federal contract, Rutherford & Chekene/Weidlinger Associates are able to provide a wide array of services to all Executive Departments of the U.S. Government, including risk assessment and risk analysis of seismic or blast effects and events, engineering peer reviews, blast resistance design, progressive collapse analysis, assessment of earthquake related geotechnical hazards and recommendations to limit risk, and more.
