Damascus, (SANA) -- Syria witnessed on Tuesday a partial solar eclipse which reached 63% in the town of Ifrin northwest of Aleppo, northern Syria.
The eclipse was visible in Europe, North Africa and West Asia up to parts of India, China and Russia.In Syria, the sun was covered by 57% in Sweida governorate, 59% in Damascus, 60% in Deir Ezzor, 61% in Homs, Hama, Hasaka and Tartous, and 62% in Lattakia and Aleppo.The eclipse began in Damascus at 09:13 AM and ended at 12:20 PM.The highest percentage of the eclipse was in Russia, Finland, Sweden and Norway, with 86% of the sun obscured.The Syrian Amateur Astronomers Association (SAAA SAAA Scottish American Athletic Association
