Parkinson Expands Plant.

Parkinson Machinery, Woonsocket, RI, broke ground earlier this year on an expansion of its Woonsocket, RI plant. The 20,000 square foot new addition, which will double the size of the plant, will feature an assembly area wide enough to accommodate more than 20 meters of machine assembly for Parkinson's product line, which includes unwinders, turrets and surface winders as well as slitting/rewind equipment. The addition will also allow for an increase in space to house its affiliate company, melt filtration equipment manufacturer Key Filters, Inc. The $1.6 million undertaking is Parkinson's second expansion in less than 18 months.
