 Award to Parker Hannifin's O-ring Division's Senior Certified Aerospace Technician Kelley Garner (L). The award was presented in recognition of Garner's major role in the training of technicians in the Aerospace Work Cell at Parker. Garner leads in the production of o-rings in both quality and quantity. Parker supplies o-rings to the Thiokol Propulsion Division of Alliant Techsystems Alliant Techsystems NYSE: ATK is a major US aerospace and defense contractor with sales of approximately USD $3.6 billion (fiscal year 2007) [1] and strong positions in propulsion, composite structures, munitions, precision capabilities, and civil and sporting . Thiokol uses the o-rings to seal the redesigned solid rocket motor used by NASA to power the space shuttle. Fewer than 1,000 Silver Snoopy Awards have been presented since the award's inception in the late 1960s.
