A quarter-million individual lights in the formal gardens in Shore Acres State Park For the California unincorporated community, see .

Shore Acres State Park is an Oregon State Park located on the Cape Arago Highway south of Coos Bay, Oregon, United States. The park features five acres of formal gardens including a rose-testing plot and Japanese lily pond.
 will light up the night and create one of Oregon's best-known holiday light displays beginning Thanksgiving Day.

The 16th annual Holiday Lights and Open House at Shore Acres is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors to the 7 acres of lighted gardens. Also decorated in a holiday theme will be the Shore Acres Garden House, where volunteers will serve hot drinks and cookies from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

There is a parking fee of $3 per vehicle. Those who show an Oregon Parks and Recreation Department annual permit, a Coastal Passport, or a current campground receipt park free.

The Senior Meals Program will serve special midday meals today and Wednesday in 13 cities and communities throughout Lane County.  Center on Wednesday will serve a turkey dinner with all the trimmings to about 250 people with mental illnesses and their families. The dinner will be served about noon at the center's Harmony House, 2145 Centennial Plaza.

Whiteaker School will host a huge meal, including 2,400 pounds of turkey and 700 pounds of potatoes, at 11 a.m. Thursday. Whiteaker Community Dinners plans to serve 3,000 people at the school, and will also distribute clothes, blankets, toiletries toi·let·ry

People can donate items from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the school, 21 N. Grand Street in Eugene. Donations also will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Wednesday at Farmers Insurance Co., 377 Coburg Road.

 Society of Lane County will host an after-Thanksgiving Day dinner on Friday for homeless and low-income people. The dinner, which begins at 10 a.m., will be held at the organization's Eugene service station at 450 Highway 99 N. About 150 guests are expected to feast upon turkey, ham, potatoes and more.
