), in cooperation with the National Park Service, is providing an opportunity for senior retired professionals to become Natural Resource Laureates. A Laureate lau·re·ate

 is a person who volunteers his or her time to scientific research on public lands. EASI reimburses ell expenses for the volunteers, and the Park Service usually provides lodging Lodging or holiday accommodation is a type of accommodation. People who travel and stay away from home for more than a day need lodging mainly for sleeping. Other purposes are safety, shelter from cold and rain, having a place to store luggage and being able to take a  at the national park.

Projects can last from a few days to several years. Each volunteer provides a scientific paper that reports on the research he or she has completed. Those interested can fill out applications and send them to EASI.
