Parent Training & Information centers (PTIs).

PARENT CENTERS IN EACH STATE provide training and information to parents of infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and young adults with disabilities and to the professionals who work with their families. This assistance helps parents participate more effectively with professionals in meeting the educational needs of children and youth with disabilities.

To reach the parent center in your state, you can contact the ALLIANCE National Technical Assistance Center (NPTAC): PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Boulevard, Minneapolis, MN 55437-1104; phone (888) 248-0822 or (952) 838-9000; (952) 838-0190 (TDD); (952) 838-0199 (FAX); alliance@taalliance.org; http://www.parentcenternetwork.org.

The ALLIANCE National PTAC collaborates with the six Regional Parent Technical Assistance Centers (RPTACs) in New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, Colorado and California to increase Parent Centers' capacity to serve families of children with disabilities. Together, the NPTAC and RPTACs support all 107 Parent Centers.

This directory is current as of November 2011.
