RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 2004

Paragon Application Systems is demonstrating EMV support in Paragon's ATM configuration tool, ConfigBuilder(TM), and in its simulators, ATMulator(TM) and FASTest(TM), at the EBUG conference in Barcelona Spain. With these products, users can

-- Develop ATM states and design ATM screens needed for EMV

transactions,

-- Create virtual ICCs (Integrated Circuit Cards, also known as

"chip cards" or "Smart Cards") to be used instead of actual

test cards during simulations,

-- Exercise EMV states and screens by processing EMV transactions

on any PC with a simulated ATM, and

-- Thoroughly test EMV transaction processing by their host

system.
