Paradyne Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:PDYN), a leading provider of broadband voice, data and video network access solutions, today announced the release and immediate availability of the GranDSLAM(TM) 4230 stackable DSLAM with support for ADSL Annex B.

The GranDSLAM 4230 product is a member of the GranDSLAM 4200 Family of 1U DSLAMs, which also support ADSL Annex A, and ReachDSL 2.2.

The 4200 family's small form factor allows it to fit into a single rack space and still meet ETSI depth restrictions worldwide. The GranDSLAM 4230 product provides 24 full power ADSL ports with integrated POTS splitters, and has a very low power consumption requirement that is typically 36 watts. This is very important considering that power is a critical resource in remote cabinets. In addition, the GranDSLAM family of products supports multiple uplinks, including T1, E1, T1/E1 IMA, DS3/E3, and OC3/STM-1. This allows service providers to choose the most economical uplink for each specific deployment.
