Panel reviews Mexican president's first year in office. (Year in Preview).

The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce will hold a debate among Mexican congressional leaders about President Vicente Fox's first year in office.

The California Pacific chapter, San Diego-Tijuana region, of the chamber is organizing the event from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 14 at the Wyndham Hotel at Emerald Plaza, 400 W. Broadway, in Downtown San Diego. Registration begins at 7 a.m.

Mexican Congressman Tarcisio Navarrete of the National Action Party (PAN), Congressman Juan Jose Garcia of the Party of the Democratic Revolutionary (PRD), and Congressman Ildefonso Guajardo Villareal of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) will discuss Fox's first year.

Elsa Saxod, who works on binational affairs for the city of San Diego, will be the moderator. Other panelists include Eric H. Niiler, border reporter for KPBS; Tim McLain, editor of San Diego Metropolitan Magazine; and Bernard Gonzales, anchor for "NBC News This Weekend" and a reporter for KNSD-TV.
