In early May, the White House released the Implementation Plan for the National Strategy for Pandemic pandemic /pan·dem·ic/ (pan-dem´ik)

 Influenza influenza or flu, acute, highly contagious disease caused by a virus; formerly known as the grippe. There are three types of the virus, designated A, B, and C, but only types A and B cause more serious contagious infections. . The plan, which can be read at the site given above, covers more than 300 actions critical to addressing the threat of pandemic influenza and details command, control, and coordination of the federal response, as well as roles and responsibilities.
