Panda Express Hosts ``Dining for Pandas'' Fundraisers to Benefit National Zoo; Nearly 20 Local Panda Express Restaurants to Participate in Five-Week Event.

WHAT: Panda Express is hosting "Dining for Pandas" fundraisers at
nearly 20 of their restaurant locations throughout the
Washington D.C. and Baltimore area to raise money for the
panda conservation fund at the National Zoo. From February
22 through March 29, each Wednesday has been designated
"Dining for Pandas" day to support the fundraising
promotion. As a result of each event, 20 percent of the net
sales generated will be donated to the zoo. The goal is to
raise $25,000 during the five-week campaign.

"In celebration of Tai Shan, the new giant panda cub at the
National Zoo, we are excited to host fundraising events at
our Washington DC and Baltimore restaurants," said Peggy
Cherng, PhD, Co-Chair of Panda Express. "This is a wonderful
opportunity for all of us at Panda Express to share our
passion for pandas as well as raise money for the zoo's
education and conservation program. We look forward to
continuing our community partnership with the National Zoo."
