Panasonic Expands Federal Distribution Channel for Toughbook Notebook Computers; SYNNEX Corporation and Tech Data Corporation join GTSI as authorized federal distributors for durable and reliable mobile computers.

Today's announcement follows closely on Panasonic's recently launched Federal Partner Program designed to provide enhanced support for resellers and systems integrators seeking mobile computing Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission, but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects such as buildings  opportunities within the federal sector.

Panasonic has been a recognized leader in delivering rugged and semi-rugged mobile computing solutions to federal customers for more than a decade. By opening up new federal distribution options, Panasonic is aiming to foster flexibility and promote greater channel access to Toughbook inventory for traditional rugged deployments and for government users seeking greater reliability with Panasonic's expanded line of thin-and-light business PCs.
