Panasonic introduces the KX-BP800 Interactive Panaboard(TM), a combination electronic and interactive whiteboard An interactive whiteboard is a large interactive display that connects to a computer and projector. A projector projects the computer’s desktop onto the board’s surface, where users control the computer using a pen, finger or other device.  with an impressive array of functions designed to enhance organization-wide communication.

KX-BP800's interactive capabilities are essential in today's ever-changing business environment, in which important decisions must be made in what often seems like nanoseconds. The Panaboard is a dynamic communication tool that bridges the gap between locations, however distant, opening meetings and presentations to business colleagues at locations around the world.

Global solution

The KX-BP800 is a cost-effective, global teleconferencing solution that enables ideas to be shared at meetings, seminars and lectures. Presentations and meeting notes can be simultaneously reproduced at remote locations when used with standard conferencing software such as Microsoft NetMeeting Microsoft NetMeeting is a VoIP and multi-point videoconferencing client included in many versions of Microsoft Windows (from Windows 95 OSR2 to Windows XP). It uses the H. (R).

Software

The KX-BP800 is equipped with user-friendly utility software that allows spreadsheets and documents to be quickly opened in existing software applications for use in meetings.

The electronic whiteboard features remote PC operation via an electronic pen, which is used in the same way as a computer mouse and allows end users to control computer applications, including Windows(R), and other multimedia materials projected onto the board.

Writing/printing capability

The Panaboard features a high-quality white screen that displays crisp data and video images without light reflections and shadows. With its built-in integrated printer, the KX-BP800 features easy printing with multiple copies, allowing materials to be distributed to an audience in seconds. With an optional interface kit, end users can also print their PC data on the Panaboard's printer.

The whiteboard can be wall-mounted or used with a stand; both items are optional.

Electronic color markers are included for writing notes over a projected image on the KX-BP800's 35.4" x 55.1" screen to focus on important words and emphasize critical issues. The markers come in black, red and blue for the print board and black, red, blue and green for interactive purposes.

Ultrasonic/infrared technology

The KX-BP800's pointing system uses ultrasonic and infrared technology to track the motion of the electronic pen and determine what mode it is in; i.e., mouse, electronic eraser, etc. The pointing system also tracks color, enabling the Panaboard to differentiate among black, green, blue and red.

The electronic pen color can also be easily changed through software by selecting any color from within the color palette Also called a "color lookup table," "lookup table," "index map," "color table" or "color map," it is a commonly used method for saving file space when creating 8-bit color images. .

The KX-BP800 is ideal for use in a variety of settings, from meeting rooms to locker rooms and courtrooms.
