Pan African Commences Exploration On The Mountain Of Gold Project.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Pan African Mining Corp. (TSX VENTURE:PAF) (the "Company") is pleased to report that it has now commenced the Phase I Exploration Program on its "Mountain of Gold" Property. This Property is located in the Dabolava region of the Central-West Plateau of Madagascar. The Company's license in this region encompasses approximately 1825 sq. km. situated in the provinces of Toliary and Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Initial work comprises sampling, trenching and shallow drilling programs at in excess of a dozen distinct sites that have been identified by the Company's geological team. These sites cover several old French colonial workings, various past and present Malagasy artisanal workings, a gossan, a large copper geochemical anomaly and other gold anomalies. The sites are in a strongly mineralized zone extending some 15 km. on strike along a series of gold-bearing quartz veins running East-West just to the North of the villages of Andimaka and Dabolava, and in the vicinity of the village of Kiranomena.

The Company has completed construction of approximately 10 km. of dirt access roads within the project area, permitting relative ease of access from the paved national highway. The Company is utilising a team comprised of 30 to 50 individuals on site, including geologists, technicians, drillers and laborers. Two diamond drills and their operators are presently on site, older Joy-12 and Joy-22 rigs suitable for saprolite and shallower drilling. The Company anticipates adding another sophisticated diamond drill to the team shortly to increase speed and enable deeper drilling. A work camp is being set up near the village of Dabolava in the center of the license area. The Company recently received data and maps comprising its high-resolution aeromagnetic survey of the area from McPhar Geosurveys Ltd. of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.

According to CEO, Irwin Olian, "This is a very exciting time for Pan African. We are now in a position to move ahead at full speed with our exploration and drilling in the Mountain of Gold region of our expansive Dabolava claim block. We are targeting potential gold, PGM, copper and nickel deposits in the area and have been greatly encouraged by preliminary site visits. In addition, we recently commenced our formal diamond exploration program in several areas of Madagascar and presently have sampling teams in the field. We are looking forward with much anticipation to results from both programs."
